Welcome to Jey Bacani Golf - Escondido CA

Picture
My career in the golf industry started in 1996.  I have been teaching golf for over 12 years.  I teach all ages, genders, and skill levels.
I spent my younger years playing all different sports; baseball, football, basketball, soccer, tennis, volleyball and of course golf.  I didn't just play them as a child, I played all of them into my teen years and early adulhood at a high level of competition.  My experiences in participating in all these sports allowed me to really understand the movements and motions of the body to achieve consistent and reliable results in a person's golf swing.  For most of us, golf is a sport picked up later in life and most of us have played other sports before golf.  I use your past experiences in other sports as a foundation for your golf swing.  I use the motions that are natural to you and use them as examples on how you can relate them to your golf swing.
We all have a desired ball flight that we strive for.  This cannot be achieved without proper "ball contact".  I understand that not everyone will swing the same way, but everyone should make the same proper contact when striking the golf ball.  If you don't achieve proper contact, then direction and distance doesn't mean much.
I will help you understand your own personal ball flight as well as teach you how to organize and simplify your thoughts before, during, and after your swing.
Of course, we won't forget your short game, bunker play, putting, and mental game.  I will teach you helpful methods and techniques to bring your scores to the next level.
Let me help you with your journey to a better golf game!

Testimonials

"It's my pleasure to recommend Jey Bacani as a golf instructor to anyone who is looking to improve their game and learn how to have more fun while on the course.
I'm not an avid athlete, and I picked up a golf club six months ago; I was intrigued by the sport for its challenges but quickly realized I was in over  my head.  After many instructional videos, books and hours on the driving range trying to learn how to make clean contact and keep the ball straight, I decided to seek some professional assistance.  I was looking for someone who could provide some guidance and training on the development of my golf swing.
As a beginner, I was apprehensive about taking professional lessons as many of the instructors were intimidating; however, Jey distinguished himself from other instructors by being courteous and sincere while creating an atmosphere for his students to truly enjoy the lessons and the game.  Jey approached struggling golfers at the driving range to ease their frustrations and provide them with some feedback on their game.  Jey is not looking to create the new Tiger Woods...but he shows passsion and is willing to assist anyone to improve their game and ultimately have more fun with it.
After talking to Jey for several minutes, I signed up for a series of lessons; he shared with me an exceptional amount of knowledge of the game and did it with patience.  Jey is dedicated to all his students young and old, and keeps great notes of each student's strength and weakness.  He is well organized, efficient and works diligently on determining the adjustments and drills each individual student needs to make
to
achieve success and again, to have fun with it.
During my time working with Jey, I have been able to develop a swing fitted to me and have experienced more success on the course with drives of about 230 yards straight down the center.  Most importantly, I have been able to enjoy my time at the driving range and the golf course.
I would highly recommend Jey Bacani to anyone looking for an approachable professional who is dedicated to the student's succcess off and on the course.  Learn from one of the best instructors who can also play the game..."

"Thanks for the great lesson!!  I played Torrey Pines and I only chunked 1 ball..."
                                         ~ Craig L.

"Jey, had to let you know that Drew shot a 78 today at RB Inn!  He shot a 40 on the front, had to par the last 3 holes for 79 and ended up par, par, and chipping in for birdie on 18 for a 78.  You have helped him so mucch in the short time we have worked together and we can't thank you enough for your great coaching.  He also went undefeated in his middle school golf league (5-0 in match play) and had the lowest 9 hole score, a 32 (par 30)."

Golf Channel Am Tour
Pala Plays Tough on Windy Day

Fallbrook, CA—The Golf Channel Amateur Tour held the 3rd official event of the 2010 season on Sunday at Pala Mesa Resort.  A short, demanding layout, Pala held its own on a windy and cool day.   Pace of play continues to be outstanding on the SD Tour, with rounds in the 4 hour 15 minute to 4 hour 30 minute range.   Thank you to each Tour Player who helped make this possible...

...In the Snead Flight, Brian Strate has been playing (and improving) for 3 years.  In his 3rd year on Tour, Strate finally broke thru for his 1st Tour victory!!  Strate played great, holding off the 2009 Snead Player of the Year Michael Valdepena, points leader Thomas Brady, and Frank Jensen of La Jolla to win by a shot for his 1st Tour win.  Strate was the only player in the flight to break into the 80’s, firing an 89 for his 1st victory!

"Thanks man!  You really helped me out.  I wasn't even playing great, but I grinded it out."
                                ~ Brian S.
